I just got a repop road master frame and the hole for the seat post is pretty small does any know what size seat post is used on that frame?

Hi! I have a repop Roadmaster LL but it's in storage - my Parade Bike. But I'm going to assume that it's a 5/8" seat post which was pretty much a standard not only for CWC in that era but most other bikes as well. If the clamp on your frame looks like this one on ebay it is definitely a 5/8". Those little ears you see on top of the clamp press into the 5/8" post and hold in in place. Have Fun! Robert

I would guess a 13/16", which was common standard for quite a while. That's what my 60's Roadmaster frame has. Many 5/8" posts are actually fitted in 13/16" holes with shims.

Just to double check went and measured my repop seatpost, definitely 5/8". Also, the frame came with a crappy conversion headset for 1" but the frame takes a 1 1/8" headset, so I put a Felt springer on it. You can see the seatpost in this pic, used a lucky 7.

The frame I got only had the cups in the head set, are those cups for a 1" conversion? meaning I could just get the bearings, race and forks and I would be done?

Yes, my frame arrived with cups still installed from a fellow member on RRB, looks they had notched the sides of a set of 32.7mm (old cruiser/BMX 1") cups to take up the extra room up to 34mm. Tough to get out, anyway I think they were just generic Pyramid headset parts should be easy to get parts, old stuff might even work mixing and matching.
