No photos yet . I went to the local fleamarket on Saturday as I usually do . I found a beautiful Sears mens 3 speed bike. It's brown with yellow/orange pinstripes. The fellow selling it had several other kids bikes and 10 speed bikes. After buying the 3 speed I began asking him if he had any more at home. He did. Turns out he lives about a mile from me. On Monday I paid him a visit. He has some old bikes but doesn't want to sell any of the oldies. However he places little value on 3 speed bikes. I bought a Columbia 3 speed that trip for ten dollars . I expect that's going to be the price for most of the others he has unless he cuts me a better deal when I go back to buy several at one time.Photos soon. :D

The one thing that I didn't like about the onset of the mtb era was the crowding off the shelves of the previously most popular entry level, weekend rider bike, the ubiquitous 3-speed. First the bikes, then the cables, the tires are just barely hanging in there. :( Think I'll post this in the "ticks you off" thread.

Keep me on your buddy list. I am always looking for 3-speed coaster hubs. Sturmey, Shimano either way. Preferably with cables, pulleys, shifters, whatever is salvageable. Sounds like you found a nice source.
