Late to this party
But as I will have a rideable and pedal powered project before the deadline I thought I may as well document my 'build'
Back in July I bought this road bike on eBay from someone just 10 minutes walk down the road

Fausto Coppi
7005 Aluminium Frame
Shimano 16 Speed
with a new cassette, new chain, new tyres

Turns out the reason the guy was selling it was because it was "an uncomfortable ride"

Road it home, to realise why, OUCH!
Seat post was installed the wrong way round, so therefore no way the saddle would tilt forward enough to not crush your "crown jewels"
Remove the saddle and seat post, spin the seat post through 180 degrees and a much better ride!

Once I've got it fitted I'll let you know whether or not it 'GraTeS' the undercarriage !
GCN [Global Cycling Network] recommended them for
  1. Lightness
  2. Flexibility
  3. being breathable
I have to admit I just bought it because I liked the look of it . . . and it was cheap as chips on eBay

a friend bought one of those saddles on IG, and liked it very much, but after three rides it began to crack at the rail-molded plastic junction. He's not heavy, just 150 lbs.

Welcome to the fun. Convert that score to fitcha.

Took the sandpaper to those graphics . . .
So now mainly 'flat' white
with a few bits of exposed 'ally'
