This is about all I will do to it, so I will switch to this forum. I bought some old $5 used motorcycle bars yesterday ,and added a couple rocket decals. The only thing left to do is buy a longer cable for the nexus 3 speed. The Bike rides very good and I am pleased with how it turned out. I know there were several suggestions that I should write something on the tank. Couldnt really decide , maybe that is why I dont have any tatoos,so I found these cool decals yesterday ,and the rest is history. Hope yall like the way it turned out.

That looks great Uncle S! Although I think a black stem would help the black stand out on the front of the frame. Just my $0.02! 8) 8)

Probably would ,but that one is for 7/8 bars. The ones on there dont have any little grooves and that stem really holds tight without slipping. I guess I could always paint it black. It was just so shinny and new.

THAT turned ou treally really great.
Like the decals too, where did you scrounge those up, can we see a close-up?

Hey thanks glad you like it . I was at a motorcycle shop looking for new bars and they had these two decals in a reduced bin. They were $17.95 reduced to $6 so I thought that would work. they say Troy Lee Designs whoever that is . I think they were for a motocross racing motorcycle. Sorry the pics a little blurry ....it nap time.

Beeyoutiful Job Paul, it is great to see what you are doing with rusty old bike bones and schedule 40 pipe :) . Troy Lee started out as a helmet painter for high end motocross guys. I have an early bell Moto III helmet with troy lee graphics from my moto days.

how is the tank being held?
I welded 1/3 of a piece of pipe about 2 1/2 inches long on the front and it rides against the back of the neck ,then I made a 1/4 wide aluminum strap to go around the seatpost with a couple screws in the back on each side.

Nice work I'm a big fan of yours, that bike looks like you could ride all day and still be comfortable 8)
Hey I have the start of a fan club. Wonder if this was how William Shattner felt at the first. Seriously I appreciate all the good words. .... The bike is nice to ride and the ugly cheap seat is the best one i have in my collection. The bars are just right too. I was just talking to my brother Rat Rod Dad and I'm heading back to the junk motorcycle place tomorrow to find a set for my clone.
Sometime you fix a bike just right and it works perfect for you . I have been lucky to hit it twice with my last two.  couldnt be happier.
