Hi my name is Brad and I am 33 year old professional in the DFW area and I am new to all this. My brother turned me on to the cruiser bikes a few weeks ago and I really want to get out of my 96 GT Mountain bike and into a cruiser. I want to get one up and running so I have a cool ride to pull around our daughter in a few more months. I am torn between saving up and picking up a nice Electra to start or just trying to find an nice older bike to clean up and make my own. I have also seen some pretty cool posts on here using simple $100 bikes from Wal-Mart as a spring board for a quick custom ride. It looks like there is a ton of information on the site and look forward to learning from you guys as I find my new ride.
