I quite like the Sparta theme.
Yeah the little bronze helmet is very nice. I want to steal that so bad I feel guilty.
The shifter lever is pretty cool too.
Anyhow, while you may ride a Spartan, when I was a child we lived in a Spartan.

I have been studying the design of the Ruff front end and I find it has much to commend.
Do you feel it might be sturdy enough for a bike, rider and cargo maybe twice as heavy?? Having to boost the spring of course…
Could the pivots and arms take the extra load if I nearly double that spring?

Hi there. First off great looking bike. I just got the regulator fork. I’m a noob and I am trying to fit it to my Hard time. But the tire is rubbing at the bottom of the fork. Not sure what to do. Can you give me some suggestions?
Hi there. i had that problem too.. it’s difficult to adjust by yourself. You need and extra pair of hands. Get a friend to help you. If I remember correctly u have to pull down on the forks then tighten the fork stem clamp on the steering post making sure the spacers are correctly placed. It’s kinda hard to describe. Let me know how you do. My buddy and I screwed around with mine for half an hour before we figured it out.
I’ve made a few small changes on mine.
Hi there thanks for reaching back. Do you have a close up of the spacers you were talking about? I have taken this fork apart a couple of times trying to keep the bottom from rubbing. But just can’t figure it out. I haven’t been able to find any info online, until I found this forum. I appreciate any guidance. Here is my progress so far

Ok. So I’m racking my brain trying to remember what I did exactly as it was last summer when I installed mine. I’ve only done this once so I can’t remember exactly. I do know that I needed an extra pair of hands to get it set up. i assume u have the hard time original frame so the steering tube is 185 mm, which is longer than mine at 125 mm, so this makes a difference. my photo shows the spacers in red which u may not need because of the length of the head tube. Once u get the fork loosely installed I think u have to get a friend to pull down on the forks before u tighten the steering fork clamp. I recall having to hold the fork in position before tightening it you have to create space between the tire and Bottom spring before tightening the clamp. (yellow marker). U might email Ruff and see what they say as well. I seem to recall them telling me that the regulator fork may not fit all Ruff frames, but I’m not sure. I have to talk to my friend who helped me with mine, he may remember something I don’t. If u need more help let me know.

your Welcome. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. Let me know how u make out. thats a nice frame. I was actually thinking on getting the hard time frame, but decided on the tango. I seem to recall emailing Ruff cycles and them telling me the regulator fork wouldn’t fit the hard time frame. I looked for the email but couldnt find it.
