I recently picked up a Ross Diamond Cruiser f/f off of ebay.

My 1st intentions were to build it back to it's original state, well as close as possible. Then I decided to go in the direction of building it into a rugged commuter. Something that can handle on the streets as well as on hard packed trails.

I plan on using 700c wheels with a Sturmey Archer 2spd kick back hub & Kenda Straight 8 700x35 tires.

Here's the f/f:

I plan on using cruiser bars like this one has:

Re: Rugged Commuter

I have been spending my disposable income on other projects. I need to buy a freewheel, cranks and chainring, tires and a seat. And cables and housings. So another $100 or so I guess. I just got a new job so I should be able to get back on it.

Re: Rugged Commuter

Ok, I ended up selling the Heavy Duti frame, so this build is back on.

I decided to us drum brakes front & rear.
