Well, its done. For now. You know a project like this can go on forever, but, its done, for now.
The Rust Rat features the late 1930s Western Flyer frame and fork, with a fine patina covered in a laquer finish. It has a Bendix 2speed kickback hub, and Schwinn s-2 rims and Typhoon rubber. The Brooks B66 seat is mounted on a bent seat post, for added comfort. For safe night time riding (my favorite time to ride) , headlight and tailight have been modified from the car application they were made for to the perfect rat bike lighting.
