I'm not sure on the make, it might be a dayton or rollfast. Many of the parts are not correct and were replaced long ago. The frame has seen a lot of use and has a few old welds and damage. Its been painted 3 times though very little remains. The wheels are 26x1.375's with a 1949 Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub. I've never seen a 1" pitch Sturmey Archer setup before. Because the frame doesnt have the post for caliper brakes a unique early 40's musselman brake which clamps to the frame-stays has been added. One of the pedals was missing and the pedal axle was welded to the dog-leg crank so i cut a plastic pedal down the center, stretched it over the existing axle and used bailing wire to keep it in place. I also had to repair the rear tire due to it splitting at the bottom. I've sewn some reinforced rubber to the inside of the tire to keep the tube from poking out. I scavenged a set of old coke bottle style grips from a garden tiller to top it off. Its probably the rattiest bike I've ever owned or ridden. Despite its overall roughness it rides quite well.
