Hi,
I would like to know if S2 wheels are marked "SCHWINN" on the wheel , or do I just look for the train tracks? I have a set of painted s-7"s that are marked schwinn.
thanks

I've been wondering if there was a quick telltale sign to look for as well. I believe S-7s could have had the traintracks too, if you're talking about the finned area in the middle? Is the width different? I don't have anything with S-2s currently so I can't go measure.

S2 rims should be marked "Schwinn Tubular S-2". On some, the stamping is very light. On repainted rims, the paint can hide the stamping. S7 rims have one row of knurling. S2 rims have a double set of knurling. You can always tell Schwinn rims by looking at the inner part where the tube goes. The metal is folded over double and there is a seam right down the middle where the rim strip goes. Gary
