Saddle Anatomy help

I bought a new piece of leather to recover this old seat (sorry for pinching the photo Pinche):

I went and looked at a new Brooks seat to figure out what to do with the nose and it looks like I'm missing a piece that the front rivets attach to. I guess I have 2 questions:

1) can anyone take a close-up of this piece from a similar saddle?
2) any suggestions on how to replace it?
