Picked up this custom bike locally last week. It’s a really cool bike, but most of it will go to other builds.

I picked up a cycle truck frame and fork a few years ago and I’ve been meaning to build it for a while. I put the moon disc on the rear and I think this is the direction I’m going to head. I plan to order some 15” moon discs to modify for the front wheel. I also have a tank plate that I need to dig out.

Throwing a few parts at this bike to see what sticks. I flipped the bars right side up. When I had the grip off I found out that they Torrington half moon bars. I also got the tank plate on there. I need to do some repair work where the basket braces mount. They are bent in a bunch of different directions, and I need to weld up a tear in the head tube. Also I haven’t been able to get the fork off yet. These old work bikes got pretty beat up.

Did you make the tank plate straps or source them somewhere? Thanks.

Killer idea!
