Buy one of those little media blasters with the media tank tha sits on top of the gun. You can do it yourself and have the capability to do parts or future builds.

Have your bike parts blasted with glass beads, not sand. I know "sand blasting" is a figure of speech but you want to use glass beads for a finer finish. Bead blasting is the way to go if you want a perfect paint job. Gary

Finally got the bike i wanted blasted torn down a couple weeks ago and have been asking around my area for someone that does sandblasting and finally talked to a couple people one said 50 and the other said 60. WOW wasnt expecting that much

depending on how old/rusty yer bike is 50 bucks is an ok deal for media blasting.
of course if you disassemble everything first and only hand them a fork and frame.my guy would charge more if he had to do that.

think of it this way. if you go to any custom shop in the US yer gonna be charged about 90 to 100 bucks an hour for labor w/ a minimum of 1 hour.

Well worth paying someone to do it. It ends up being a mess and to do it right you need a good compressor that can push sufficient are and at least a 33 gallon tank. A hose short enough to no condensate the hot air being produced.

Finally a filter at the inlet and out let of the hose. Oh and then you have to buy blast media.

Just typing that made me have thoughts of when I did it now I would just pay someone.

Beatcad, its all torn apart degreased and taped off already all they have to do is blast it.
MIGZ, I used to sandblast all my own stuff when I lived in Va but dont have use of a blaster since I moved to Missouri. in va we never worried about the mess since we would just broom the sand over in front of the bio tanks (Biodiesel)

i just had two of those old metal clam shell chairs from the 50's blasted here in kansas city for 40$. i had them all apart so it was 6 pieces total. not too bad i guess. you are kinda out in the sticks though so finding a reasonable shop may be a bit harder.
edit, w00t! 100th post. lol
