I have had this 36 Elgin about six years, and have had this hanging in the rafters , the biggest holdup was I had big plans of getting the front hub rechromed, didn't happen! So I figured I just need to get it done and here we are. The theme came about from the need for a bike to go to Church with, and now I can put on my Sunday Best........The bike was actually purchased in town and found it on CL, The was originally hot tanked and sand blasted and sat for awhile, the springer was for a women's bike and cut down and tapped. The tank was built by Sensor a few years back and my sister did the leather work on the saddle most parts were swap meet acquired and my paint didn't come out the way I planned but the imperfections give it the ratty hot rod look of a 50's, high school ride. The toolbox is functional with a latch made from a Schwinn NOS tire pump lever and it has tools consisting of a vintage tire pressure Guage, spoke wrench, Trouser clip. Both lights work as well as the Royce Union horn. This is my 7th build off and it's been a kick, congrads to all who finished and those who will finish in the near future, thank you and GOD bless!
