I'd like to ditch the banana seat and find a nice blue and white junior Schwinn "S" seat.

Want to make it look more like a 20" cruiser and less like a muscle bike.

Just wish I could install a set of fat white walls without having to change out the wheel set.

those are always the funnest projects and shes gonna have a cool bike
i know there was somewhere that had little troxle seats like the on on my sons pixie.....if i can remember where ill post the link for you

Is it YER bike...oooooorrrrrrr...HER bike...I'd suggest listening to what SHE wants, then advise her if she chooses something unsafe. This way she learns first hand 'bout project design...I'll bet she'll surprise you! After all, she's been raised up by you and its been my experience that the apple don't fall far from the tree. It's going to be a GREAT daughter/father project you'll both treasure the rest of your lives no matter how the bike turns out,eh? Please keep us posted as I,for one, would like to see how you two do on this...it's gonna be cool :!:

Both of my little girls have Bantams. My 4-year old started riding hers minus training wheels a few months back and she absolutely loves this old cruiser. I've got the original set of wheels and tires, but the spokes are loose and the coaster brake needs work. I replaced the wheels with a basically brand new set off a newer BMX and put some new whitewalls on it. This one's a '76 model and had a HUGE rear reflector. We ditched that and replaced it with a couple sort of vintage looking smaller reflectors.
