How I acquired my steel single speed poorly painted black Schwinn

Stripped back the the black

Then started tinkering with it

caught the Kustom bug and went rather wild.....

Stayed like that for a while and then wanted a further back seating position so decided I'd have a go at making my own saddle

Then realised that because I'm short the bars were too wide and cornering was a problem so went for lower bars

Also different forks as the apes rather bent the steerer tube on the forks.
Currently looks like this though

next think on my to-do list is wider rims and probably find more things to tinker with!

My latest project 1962 Deluxe American. Found frame a few years ago upon running serial number learned that it was done on May 28th 1962, which happened to be 1 week aftyer my birthday. Spent time gathering parts for build not all Schwinn but got most of what I wanted and finished off with a few new parts. Orignal paint just cleaned up rides great. Will be taking extended cruise on it tomorrow for it's birthday.

My fleet of Schwinn rides, i’ve changed most of them several times over the years. The single speed Panther is my favorite and best riding bike.
