didnt take any before pics. Its basically tacked together, and needs more welding and lots of grinding. Had a MTB with almost the same sized oval tubing, that I used as the donor. Stretched 17". Added a MTB seat tube, which will allow me more seat options. Its perfect sized for me. More pics later as it progresses. Not sure if I am going to leave the holes unfilled for the old seat post. Might be neat with it open. What do ya think so far?

Gonna have to ride it, not sure I will keep the bars. Might put a 13" ape on it.

Stretchers rule! I dig this one. I'm lookin' forward to see some more pics.
You're gonna put another seat on,aren't ya? And I hope the rear brake doesn't give you any trouble.

Are they a problem,Wimpy? It worked when I bought it. Gonna need a longer cable, hopefully thats ALL. Not sure of what seat yet.......maybe a banana seat???
I welded the hole on the lower tube closed, and ground smooth all the mig welds. Gonna leave the hole on the top tube

Well,I'm not sure about the brakes on these type of bikes. I regularly read the adds on our lokal E-bay-kind-of-site and there's often the sentence: "brakes don't work" or "brakes need proper adjustment/fixing" . That's the reason why I asked. It's not meant to worry you.

About the seat, put on what you like best. Should be a comfy one, I guess.

well, I finished it, sorta. Didnt body-putty it, YET. its black primer, and rolling. pedals fine, and is actually easy to pedal the hills here in Pittsburgh. Ill take pics soon. Its neat, gets alotta looks. Needsa proper seat. Not sure what, tho. Nanner seat?.

Al,
Looks GREAT! I think a black nanner would look great. Too bad about Ginny passing away, Rini Enterprises ALWAYS had some cool vintage BMX and Muscle bike stuff.

Cheers,
Dr. T

i like it. i'd go for a good sized exercise seat and/or a seat with a backrest so you have something to push against when you want to accelerate or push up a hill. can't remember seeing it since i came to this forum, but it's not too hard to make occ's into a 5-7 speed, also good for hills.

also, chopperus has some handlebars that nearly like that, but with more pullback

I think that would ruin the look. I live in Penn Hills, and I live at the bottom of a hill. I pedal up it no problem. It will be ued on trails, mostly flat. Dogdart has a black nanner seat Im gonna borrow be4 I buy. I want like a 36" sissy bar.. I need to add a derailer gear to get the chain away from the bottom rail, it hits. Ill weld on a tube, with just the star wheel on it, to give a lil bit of clearance. Gotta work tomorrow, but I'll get to it....

its done, fornow. Added a springer banana seat I got from dogdart. Bought a 36" sissy bar at Michaels Cycles, for 10.oo,new. It rides comfy! Gotta take it to the trails tomorrow
