What distinguishes the Schwinn Phantom from the other simular models ? Are there any serial numbers or options that make it a Phantom or is it just chrome tank and paint ?

All Schwinn bikes are built with the same frames, and forks. The difference is in the trim, and accessories. Higher priced models just had more stuff- tanks, chrome wheels, racks, etc.

Yup like jwm says. Phantoms didnt reallly have specific things but had the fender headlight, dif sprocket, springer, rear reflector, front drum brake etc etc

The seat and the stoplight rack are two things I can think of that were exclusive to the Phantom. Gary
