Pulled frame from scrap pile. Saw a thread regarding 26" wheels on 24" bikes and thought I'd try it.

The kickstand mount, brake bosses and cross brace were all in the way, so I cut them out.

I mocked it up with a 26" fork to see what it looks like...

My 24 inch Schwinn that I converted to 26 was a little small for me since I didn't have a long 13/16 seat post. I usually buy a Wald long post and JB Weld a steel rod in it so it won't bend. I didn't want to spend any money on it so I built it with what I had. I gave it to a gal I ride with who wanted a classic for the vintage bike rides. She has a beauty shop that has a bike shop for all to use at the back of her shop. My 24/26 conversion is going on the wall in the shop.

I also use a gas pipe from Menards and slowly grind it by turning it on my grinding wheel, then JB Weld and hammer it in.
