I am not sure but I think that on one of my bikes has Schwinn S-2 Balloon tire rims. How can I find out for sure what they are?
Also, on this bike and on these rims there are 2 really cool old balloon tires. One is a Uniroyal "Super Rider" and the other is a Allstate. They look cool and have a car looking tread.

Are these style rims hard to find? And what about the tires?

Here are some pictures.

Re: Schwinn S-2 Rims and Cool Tires

I believe Schwinn rims are marked as to whether S-2 or S-7, although it may not be legible anymore. I would also expect the tire to be marked 1 3/4 (Schwinn), 1.75 or 2.125 (standard). If not, the easiest thing to do would be to try putting a tire on it. As I recall, the wrong one will not fit AT ALL. :|

I looked but I can't find any markings. They seem like really nice rims, wide ones too...

Re: Schwinn S-2 Rims and Cool Tires

S2 rims will work with regular 26" wide tires, an S7 rim is slightly larger in diameter so it must have a Schwinn size tire. My dad used to cuss up a storm when my brothers and I would need tires, and the cheap tires wouldn't fit.

Standard tires are labeled with decimal points, like 26 x 2.125 or 26 x 1.75. That's what will fit the S2 wheels.

Tires for the S7 rims will be labeled with fractions, like 26 x 1 3/4, etc. I've tried to find wider tires for my S7 2 speed wheel, but haven't found any wider than the 2". It doesn't look much larger than the 1 3/4 I had before.

26 x 1 3/8 are different also, they are the lightweight bike tires, different from our wider rims.

Here's a place I've seen the tires for S7 rims for sale:
