Brake post extenders arrived in the mail. Hoping they allow me to reach the 29ers.

Brake extenders are crud.
Not going to use them.
So 26" wheels are going on this build. Just need to source some cool tyres.
29s are going on the shelf for another project.

Made for screw in post's, for alloy frames. Not for the one peice steel post's. Plus the threads are not even tapped properly.

Rear v brake will be sufficient and Keep the front clean. I've found the clear odyssey pads to work exceptionally well, negating the need for a front stopper.

Used up the last of my metal cast blue on the chain ring. Bit extra contrast to the frame.

Also swapped the pedals to bear traps, for ultimate in shin damage

At this point I was beginning to wonder if I had ruined a great potential coaster brake clunker.
But then I tried on my 26x2.4 DMR'S, adjusted up the V brake and went for a test ride.

Well wow. This thing is such a BMX NOW. So much fun, and the brakes are perfect. This is the vision I had in my head, just needed to find the right tyre for it, to finish it off.
I'm stoked on how it rides. Next stop, the local dirt jumps.

Yeah those tires really set it off! I really like that color on the frame too, accented with the blue bits.

Initially I planned to do the frame in white. But once I saw that light blue, I was sold on it. Think it really suits it.

Upgraded to a micro adjust post. Nothing wrong with a few modern concessions.

The schwthing got a brake make over today after the new bits arrived in the mail.
New pads, new cable and some stronger brake arms. Work very well now.
