Grand tycoons are 26 x 2. 1.25 if your Typhoon has O.G. wheels, they will have S-7 tubular stamped on them. This is a Schwinn specific size, westwinds is what they would have had on them originally 26 x 1 3/4 these had a brick tread just like the Typhoon cords, and they are just as spendy! You are better off with the 26 x 2. 1 3/4 tire for an S-7 wheel. They are wider and less expensive option. Besides you aint gonna get a 2 x 1.25 tire to fit an S-7 wheel any way nice! Later & PEACE!!!!

Hmmm, interesting. Would the 26x2. 1 3/4 fit the s7 as well?

Nevermind, I just read your post right. Now my ? Is, is there any cheaper brick tread patern repop 26x2.1 3/4 being made so I could run on an s7 wheel?

Sometimes you just gotta stick a crowbar in your wallet and shell out the frog skins for what you want or need.

I've been there and done that.

If you have aftermarket rims this place has great deals on tires. My '58 Schwinn didn't have good rims so I roll on 1960's Murry rims (girl's bike part donor). I was gonna get my whitewalls from there but I got a nice set on a huffy trash find before I could put in the order... .

there are no inexpensive brick tread tires for an S-7 wheel that I am aware of. The 26 x 2 1 3/4 tires are not brick tread either.
