Plenty of good parts there.

It does look like the frame was modified. The shifter must have bumped into something, the part with the bend in it needs straightened, and you're good to go!

Yeah, looks like someone did some work toi the toptube near the headtube. Kinda lumpy! :mrgreen:

Great find! Some of these older Sears badged cruisers have extra thick tubing. I had a Murray made one like that at least, similar to this one. I'm not sure if this one is Murray or Austrian, hard to see the dropouts in the pics.

That could very well be. With a second look, the sprocket does appear to be a Huffy piece, as does the top nut of the headset (I'm not sure how reliable that is, but I've seen that particular nut on a lot of Huffy headsets). The dropouts also seem identical to those of a ladies Huffy 3 speed I just cut up. Sorry 'bout that :oops:
