Seatpost shim

I have this 5/8 seat post need 7/8 anyone ever make a shim for these it's a monarch supercrusier frame.

I made one out of this 7/8" .120 wall dom tube. Not really a shim since I welded the two together.

Same dilemma on my build. I found this searching the archives. Cut a slot in it with a hacksaw and tapped it on. Worked well so far.
