Seeing the sights in Ark City, Kansas

Had some business in Ark City today so I brought my '55 Schwinn Spitfire along for some pics.

First stop was Spokes-N-Things, the only LBS in Cowley County.

Next we stopped at a small park with a big attraction. Santa Fe Steam Locomotive 2542. It was retired from service in 1955 so it was kind of fitting.

Kinda makes you feel small

Last stop on the way out of town was at the VFW post for a pic with a Howitzer

Cool pics and yes that's a great looking bike.

For the non locals the town is Arkansas City but known as "Ark City" around here and it's pronounced like our state not that other state!
