Semi Integrated headset question.

I want to upgrade the headset on the S8 now that I have the new forks and wheel sorted:

And go from caged to sealed bearings - so I bought this set.

It has a split/compression crown race.
Would you put a spacer underneath it - between the bottom triple tree and race?

I run split crown races on my DJ bike, MTB and Road bike and they're just sitting on the crown of the fork. It's meant to sit in the same way a regular crown race does.

I love split crown races, saves a lot of headache when changing forks on bikes or changing headsets.
