According to the online lists, JC56199 should be Sep 1967, right?

My next door neighbor has been telling me about his dad's bike for months now.
Today he finally brought it home and offered it to me.
I gave him a decent offer since I have to live next door to him :D .
His dad rode it at the manufacturing plant where he worked.

Paint is kind of scratched up, and the fenders have a number of small dents.

I don't think the apes and the red grips are original?

I have not decided what to do with this one yet.

The bars have surface rust, and the main bends have the chrome skinned thru, not bad, but it's there. Pretty typical.

Do you have nice bars correct to this bike, by any chance?

Nice find!

Bars/grips not original, but they look like 1 year only Schwinn bars (from 67). I think they look cool on there. I would just clean it and give it fresh grease and ride! ( and black grips)

Sorry I don't have the right bars :| If you do get rid of those ape hangers please let me know
Nick :p

Nick, you will be the first to get a PM. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Right now, I'm thinking of CL'ing it as is, local pickup. I aired up the tires today and rode it around the block. Sort of stiff, needs clean up and grease, but the Red Band CB works fine.
