Shelby made Higgins?

I just found this bike on eBay. It appears to be a Shelby made JCH... I didn't know they existed.

The paint looks legit, but the tank decals don't. They look too shiny compared to the bike. That's just my observation, it could very well be all original.

I'm no pro, but it looks like a Jc Higgins with the wrong sprocket to me?

Yeah, the frame doesn't scream Shelby. Not a Murray either though, doesn't have the collar around the seat tube. Could be a Westfield frame, they had a few JCH's here and there. -Adam

i can't say one way or another, but i do know that when murray went on strike (56' i think) that sears/jch had to get their bike from other ptoviders, like huffy and i think there were a few monarks and ross to fill the gaps. maybe shelby, too, but looks unlikley. could just be a different chainring as it seems big for that guard. love the bike.
