Does anyone know if a modern Nexus 3-speed hub can be shifted with an old 333 shifter? I've got an "Executive" brand 3-speed roadster that has a crunchy 333 with a cool twist grip shifter. I'd like to replace the hub with a Nexus and keep the vintage shifter. Has Shimano kept the shifter cable travel the same over the years, allowing update/backdate mix and matching?
