usually they just staple enough cardboard around em to slap the sticker on, or wad em up and jam em in the box w/ whatever else you ordered

Yeah, I am getting ready to sell a bunch of vintage tires and need a somewhat accurate way to estimate shipping. Thanks for your response

I made the mistake of sending those Felt Berm Master tires through the USPS last week...cost me $26.

I put one tire inside of the other and then I wrapped Wal-Mart bags around them and then I took some USPS Priority Mail tape and completely wrapped the tires so it looked like a big mummified donut.

I checked the measurements with FedEx when I got home and their site quoted me $11 for the same dimensions.

Thanks for the info. Thats what I was looking for. :D

places ive ordered from usually twist them into a figure 8 and fold them in half and stuff them in a box and it still ends up costing around $10-15 to get them, so far i prefer getting tires using Steve's method the best :)

I'm not sure I'd risk twisting vintage or nos tires, especially if they are high dollar ones.

Best way!!!!
