HEY GUYS I JUST BOUGHT THIS ROLLFAST TANK ON EBAY FROM A GUY FROM CANADA. HE'S TELLING ME THAT SHIPPING IS VERY EXPENSIVE FROM CANADA AND ITS GOING TO COST ME OVER $45.00 OF SHIPPING VIA CANADA POST. I'VE BOUGHT STUFF BEFORE FROM PEOPLE FROM CANADA AND SHIPPING IS A LITTLE MORE THAN SHIPPING FROM THE USA BUT THAT AMOUNT CAN'T BE RIGHT.

HE OFFERED TO CANCEL THE AUCTION AND HE WROTE "Hi Alex, I'll get a shipping quote on Monday ( post office closed for Easter Sunday) Non Continental U.S.A. (I should have stated in my auction) will be WAY more that my estimate stated in auction. If the price is too high, we can cancel the deal easy, and I'll relist or sell to the 2nd highest bidder. What are your thoughts? Canada Post are VERY expensive on locations outside of Canada and Continental U.S.A.. Cheers, Bob"

I THINK HE JUST WANTS TO RELIST IT TO SEE IF HE GETS MORE MONEY.

The best thing to do is either estimate the size and weight of the shipping box (or ask the seller) and put the info into the Canada Post website:

For a local postal code, I usually look up the city hall's address on the interweb.

Personally I always try to contact the seller to get a shipping quote before I bid, or at least estimate what the shipping rate will be. I find that shipping from the US to Canada can be way over estimated on ebay, I've seen listings that charge $30+ shipping for a $5 seat bolt!

I would contact the seller to work out the cheapest shipping quote that will work for both of you. Canada Post Expedited Parcel USA is the cheapest option that still includes tracking and insurance, you could mention that to him...
