I think I had that bike as a kid. If not that, I had a very similar huffy. But as I recall it wasn’t a high quality bike. We built some sweet jumps and most of the huffys didn’t survive.
Same, they were heavy and if you came down on both tires at the same time the head tube would snap right off the frame. Happened a few times to me on Huffy's and once on a Raleigh. I've got lots of scars and broken bones from treating those bikes like a BMX bike. I was small for my age back then, so of course I took more chances then the other boys and got all the scars to prove it. Lol.

This Stingray looks like a 1998 reproduction model. The '98's had the most correctly constructed frames of all the repos made.

Well, at 26 years old it qualifies as vintage.

I want a mini velo for driveway shenanigans with the kids.
Doesn't much hear use of that word often.
Shenanigan enthusiasm doth abound all around. Even found wee helmet-size Shenanigan enthusiast stickers. Seein' as I've begun wearing them, they must be customized.

In my experience, that connection is most often severely misunderstood by most folks in general. I was adult before reaching adult-size ('Nam), & was what trendy Joe Average labels "over achiever", so I had to exert more to do more. Seems that applying more force breaks things more often, including bones.

Ha. I was born in 1973.
That's OK. Everyone is born somewhere at some point in time. Now you has to catch up from two decades late start.

I thought I started this thread to post up goodwill finds. Where did this thread go? @Cmdr Ronald @twojs.bike
It doth appear apologies are in order here. With zero intent to Shanghai, highjack, or otherwise alter the direction of your thread, I entered when your mention of shenanigans caught my eye, being an enthusiastic shenanigan enthusiast low these many years. O my my... Your words broke loose a mudslide of memories intertwined amongst myriads of adventure, some of which were good.
In the twinkling of an eye, broken bones & scars from full tilt boogie bicycling efforts had my attention spanning decades of memory & recovering from similar results. Several years since resuming biking, I am often reminded of high-flying attempts to accomplish things with a bike not meant to be. Sadly, the danger warnings now usually refer to incompetent operators of Joe Average's cars viewing us as moving targets. Twice last year, I was victim of hit & runs, hospitalized 3 weeks the 2nd time & have relearned to walk. Not soon enough, I be biking.

Thank you for more words of nonsense. Quite the ramble. I guess not everyone understands how forums work. And you mentioned an apology was due. Where? i don’t see it. 🤔

I read the apology in the text wherein the writer explains that they were involved in not 1 but 2 hit
and run accidents while riding. The second requiring rehab to re-learn how to walk again. With the
hopes and determination to ride again. I know we mean no harm when we ramble sometimes.
Especially when we can't move physically and our minds are running a non-stop marathon. Peace. 🙏
