Hello,

A newbie here. I am getting started on my very first rat rod project, an early 70's Schwinn cruiser frame. I am having lots of fun gathering parts and stuff and like seeing what others are doing. I need a source for 26" shorty ducktail fenders since I can't seem to find one around here, perhaps I'm just looking in all the wrong places. Any help appreciated. I'll post photos as the project progresses. Thanks.

Welcome aboard fellow rat!

Funny you should mention ducktail fenders, we were just discussing them in another thread - they do seem to be harder to find than expected. One option is to cut down a set of full size ducktails. The full size jobs are quite easy to find.

Wald makes some really short splash guard style fenders: http://www.waldllc.com/catalog.html check on pages 2 & 3 of the catalog

Nirve has them listed: http://www.nirve.com/parts.asp?cid=3001

Felt shows a similar fender set: http://www.feltracing.com/products/prod ... =1436,1437

I got my shorty fenders here: http://www.chainganglowrider.com but availability might be limited.

bikeworldusa.com has very good prices and service.

They carry most, if not all, Nirve and Electra products.

I have gotten to know the owners and can assure you they are great people who take customer service very seriously, their Ebay store had a 100% satisfaction rating the last time I checked.

On a local level they have been in business over 30 years and they fully support kustom, cruiser and chopper nuts like us. Please check out their site.

I totally agree. :D

I've used bikeworldusa.com also for a Nirve seat, Electra tires, and a set of repro bow pedals. They have the cheapest prices around and they get the stuff to you super fast.

:D You got that right! I have dealt with them a few times and they are great people.

They are very accomadating to people living in Canada making every transaction very smooth. They also get some neat NOS stuff, but I don't think it is always listed.
