Should i buy these bikes

On lunch today i stopped and looked at a total rusty,tankless skiptooth Elgin (had a badge though), and a Schwinn cycle truck that could best be described as yard art.

The only thing the Elgin had going for it was that it had the headbadge and the frame was straight.

The cycletruck had broken off seat post, hack job chain stay and seat stay repair on one side, and a blown up downtube. wheels were shot. Highlights indlude the headbadge and the front drop stand.

The asking price is probably the same as what the headgbadge on the Schwinn is worth.

I've been wanting to build a cycletruck and maybe this is a chance to pick up a pattern bike.

i guess im in in recovery/remission, ive been passing on everything lately (too many projects not getting done) but id be bringing the cycle truck home anyway :mrgreen:

The only thing i can see using off the Elgin is the headbadge. A cycletruck build has been on my list of things to do. I guess its short $.
