Well since I am going to the Cyclefest with my daughter, she was all excited when she found out they had a girls class, so something like "dad can you paint my bike ? " I dont like pink anymore so baby blue with polka dots is her request, so guess what I have been doing after work the past couple days.....before

And this is where I am at so far

Last night I cleaned the chrome sprocket and crank and found some almost Nos pedals and installed along with the bars and fork. Then my daughter says " that looks beautiful, I don't want the basket no more ,it just takes away the style "   that from an almost 6 year old, Daddy's proud

Just winding down after another 103 degre day (125 in my garage)but I got it done had quite a time with it details later along with picks but its going to cyclefest.woo hoo ! had a change of plan with the polka dots, my daughter ended up doing her own graffics..to be continued

These builds are the best in my opinion. Ya, sure we can build our own wacky-total
customs or really cool Rats’ but when it is for a child, that’s what makes this happen.
It sparks a totally new generation’s interest in what we are doing today! Hey Rat Rod,
time to start thinking of a cool t-shirt for oh.... 2020 sound like we have yet another
generation on the way!! Heh...Heh... 8) 8)

That is way cool that your daughter came up with her own graphics. Can’t wait to see
what the two of you come up with on this build!! I feel your pain 107 here today with
more to come. :x :x

looking forward to the pic's. can't wait to see the daddy daughter collaboration. :)

did she splatter paint it?

I still have to take some better picks of the bike graffics, but here's a couple teasers, now for the build story, and why I shouldn't procrastinate  the original seat has a couple of tares in it so my wife says she could reuphoster it , I was sure I have some white vinyl in my garage, of course no where to be found, so I took a banana seat off another schwinn I figure I will use at leat for the show. The original seatpost looked like crap ,so I decided to put this chrome one in instead,!#$$%#@@%^&^&&^&^%&$% ....it didn't fit like I thought it would, and now its stuck ,tried to put vise grips on it to hammer it out...$%##&&*(&*%&$#$....didn't work and its hot out , next step post in vice ,and make sure I scratch something in the process, but thank the Lord it came out, so I put the old one back in and attempt to install the banana seat and of course its wider ,so change sissy bar also ,it mounts off the axle...$#&%&^&$&^^....so I have to install it anyways not a problem except my daughters legs are 8 inches to short, so I have to slam the nose on the seat down so she can ride it. but it made it to the show
