I took the ski bike I made 2 years ago for the snow out to the water last week to see if it would work, the front ski is too small and doesn't plane above the water and it's really hard to stay upright on it. I am going to take off the skis and put and wakeboard on it and see what happens.

Always fun to try new things behind a boat and someone to be the first sucker. When I worked at a marina during high school, my bosses bought an Airchair. I was the sucker. I learned to get up and get a little air. After one wipeout, it became known as the death chair.

Maybe also the angle of the front ski is not helping? I'd rig a spring to it to always keep the tip pointing up, that would prevent a nasty nosedive.
