I think the Monark is geared with a 52t-22t I will take a look...

Me either, WOW! I agree your legs must be spinning like a 9000 rpm cranshaft :lol:
I now have my Aluminum Winter set up with 52t/19t
and I can't stand up and pedal fast enough, if I sit, I bounce off the seat :lol:
But you already matched my last recorded ride (on your "RBB rides" thread)
so you must be doing something right :wink:

Once you get the fender off, tire fixed, and new brace on,
I'll bet you go even faster with Bellowing Yellow

I do think my pedal cadence is close to 100 rpm

What a difference 6 days makes... look how fast the ivy has grown

That's crazy! But yeah the grass has been growing fast as well as the algae in the ponds more than quadrupling in size the last few days. Spring is FINALLY here.

I started playing with the Strava App. this week
Best ride this week.... on the way home from work Sunday night late around 11:30pm ( no traffic or people on the lake path)


Then this morning was cold and windy like late October weather.




I was thinking that with the 20 mph tailwind I could get more speed but......




Some what slower do to traffic lights in the first mile. and max speed was 3 mph faster but I stopped 2 miles sooner to take pics.
If I had gone the full 8.5 my average mph would have been a lot slower... It was fast riding south but then the ride west with the gusty 20 mph plus wind was tough going.

I think 17.4 is the fastest this bike will go with this gear ratio.

More Randomness.... Had a few Thunderstorms blow through this afternoon.
Tried to get some cloud shots out over lake Michigan on the way home to night.
(20 to 30 minutes earlier would have been perfect)

I was trying to get a good waves splashing onto the path pics.... this is what happens when you get hit by a cold wave well taking a pic. :roll:
