slippery chrome.....

I finally got the seatpost I wanted for my cosmic liner, but the chrome is so smooth I cant get it to clamp down at the stay or the seat without it slipping if you put just a little extra force on it.I am already amazed I haven't snapped any fastners.. :roll: do I gotta rough it up to get it to grab???

Shim or use a center punch to knock some "divots" into the area of the post that will be clamped to most often or inside the seat tube where it will grab the post.
