Good morning, everyone!
I was working on a rather rare Otasco Flying O ten-speed over the weekend and I about have it done. But for some reason, the chain still slips and skips the teeth when I shift. The chain ring and cassette all look fine. The derailleurs are working and shifting properly, though I may be able to adjust them better. That leaves the chain I would assume? Right?
I haven't had to replace a lightweight or mtn bike chain in a very long time. But what would some signs of wear be on the chain besides rust? Are there any recommendations to either fix the old chain or what to look for in a new one?
The bike is being refurbished and sold, so as always the best bang-for-the-buck is preferred.
