The fit of original quill seat posts freaks the heck out of me, they seem to be really lose fitting and I don't want to break a 80 year old frame. Here is a link to my fresh finds post if you want to see the bike. So if I get a quill seat post, and put it in the bike will it bust the tubing if I ride it on average.

Also it has a bent tube and the rear triangle is bent, will I break it if I give it a yank?

It should most likely have a shim. I've owned several and never had an issue with a tube busting from that, definitely wouldn't be flying off any curbs on the thing though

Thank you, I'm back on the hunt for a quill seat post and shim.
