Small tube caps/spikes

My friend just bought an old muscle bike with dual small diameter top tubes, and the ends are capped with little decorative pieces. I have a tandem that is made the same way (think: mixte style frame) and I want some sort of caps for the ends of the small tubes. I'd love something like spikes, but I'll probably just shish-kabob my shins on them, is there anything sold for this or anything anyone else is using?

I have a Firestone muscle bike that is the same way, I'm thinking of using some valve stem caps that light up in there for headlights. :mrgreen:

Also search ebay for screw back spikes. You'll find something in the size you need.

Just what I was looking for, now if I could find a craft store that sold them locally I could probably save a little.

Only place I have found them locally was the goth kid store in the mall called Hot Topic and they were more expensive there, The ones on e-bay are $20 per 100 for the small ones. If you only need a few of them check pet stores, spiked dog collars use them too.

Check for a local Tandy Leather store, or try online from their parent company, The Leather Factory.

Here's a link to a guy that will make pike nuts and bolts to order. He mostly does chrome, but said he can do any color you want. I really like them because they're heavy duty and have a nut welded onto the end so they are as strong as regular steel nuts. Check his other sales for the bolts.
