Solstice Ride

6 of us braved the snow, ice and cold weather to honor the solstice. I took these pictures with a hand held camera while riding tonight so they aren't very good. I wish I had used my bike camera mount because it was spectacular. We rode along a stream with waterfalls, beautiful at night with the snow comming down.

We just have a dusting, less than an inch. In the highlands 10 miles away from Lake superior there is 4 inches. It is going to get in the 40sF and rain so the little we have will be gone by Christmas. Here is another picture from last night and you can see that I rode my non fat rigid mountain bike with absolutely no problem, as did the guy that took the picture.
