Just picked up this sweet little trailer for real cheap. Let the bicycle hoarding begin! View attachment 160947
BTW that little trailer got a nice little lift, new hardware and new wood all around.

During my daily search for a 26” Redline Monocog a 29er popped up and it was too cheap to pass up!

$250 and a couple hours on the road it made it to its new home. I was told that it was only ridden 3-4 times max.

For sure it’s gonna get the BMX treatment! I was thinking a Redline BMX stem, Redline pedals, BMX bars, gumwalls, Brooks B17 green apple saddle and swapping out the tubes to Schrader valve style. Stayed tuned.

Tried out some S&M Husky MX bars and black ops stem, the bars are a game changer on the Monocog! They put me in a better seat position for city cruising.

Waiting on the smaller cog to show up and I need to extend the front brake lines a few inches.

Picked up a pair of hardly used Amazon scooters for cheap. “Brakes” are all plastic! Gonna set them up for my wife and I to keep up with the kiddos and their scooters. Perfect size for my wife, but I’ll need taller bars.

Already started with removing decals, trashing the brakes and painting the rims a hammered bronze color.
A few shots from today. Stay tuned.

The arms of the vees?!! I've never seen that, I thought the pressed steel ones were cheapos! Talk about flex!

What, good, honest, hard-working pressed steel, guaranteed to accentuate every glorious bump and twitch in your badly manufactured and ill-used chromed steel rims?

I rate my pressed steel ones higher than some of those cheapo cast aluminium Vee brakes I have seen with their shoddy rivets, and now in comparison to plastic they are only my third least favourite choice. So while they might be third rate, they are also third-from-last rate ;)

That thing looks so good. Great upgrades.

Pulled out some parts from the shed to get some inspiration. Nothing special, just building a mixed up 20” from a ‘74 Stingray frame.
I cant decide if I should go with a banana seat or those big boy worksman’s. Still working on getting a fork and matching wheelset with tires.

With those handlebars, the worksman seat with a layback post might go better, like a big boy BMX.

I have previously been called a big boy on a BMX! I like the layback seat post idea, I have one somewhere they I can try out.
