A recent build, 95ish Cannondale with 700c wheels. A gravel/commuter/bomber build. I highly enjoy this bike. So different from all my other stuff.
Next up is today’s purchase of a late 80’s early 90’s Nishiki with a sweet colors.
Tad small for me but great build for my wife. Great thing is the color scheme is already there.

That looks like the boy’s version of my wife’s 1988 Nishiki Blazer.
Made quick work of the Nishiki and gave it some more 90’s appeal. Had a Miami Vice vibe so I stuck with that.
Tuned it from a 3x6 to a 1x7 drivetrain, swapped from to v brakes to canti’s, Selle Italia saddle, SR slingshot stem with enduro bars, pink vinyl on the chainstay as a protector, Sakae cranks, pink chainring bolts, pink grips and obviously some pink cable housing all around.
I ended keeping the same rims, seatpost, GT pink pedals, shifters and brake handles. I added the mtb tires but I’ll eventually swap them over to some light gravel or street tires.
And finally…

Small birthday purchase for myself. Early 90’s GT Palomar. Pretty complete, not sure if I’ll keep it stock or build a nice urban bomber out if it.

Anyone else ride with a skiing/snowboard helmet? I like the goggle strap in the back. Makes a perfect light holder. Plus is since it accepts goggle sized frame it fits big framed sunglasses.
Runs a little warm/hot at times due to lack of vents but at that point my joints are also starting to feel it so it is what it is for me.

that is a great idea!
I updated my post.
My only gripe is that it runs hot but I like the helmet. But it makes us introverts feel safe.
Found these Blackburn Lowrider pannier racks locally for cheap.
They’re meant for forks with CL-1 braze ons. The non threaded kind, just a thru hole on the fork. A little more common on older bikes. I need to buy some pan head type bolts and nylon lock nuts. It would really suck if these came loose mid ride.

Going to hit them with black bed liner paint so it matches the bike a little better.

BRAND NEW 26” mismatched Bontager wheelset with a deore rear hub. Rim brake wheelset!
Front rim is a tubeless Race Light and the rear is a Maverick with a spoke offset.
Stoked to see them in a 26”. Oh and included the sale was a Rolf Wheelset bag.
