I picked these bikes up from a motorcycle guy while I was visiting my relatives. I thought it was a good deal, then he told me he had some bike parts out back from an old dealer. So I dove into the 4'x4' boxes behind his shop. I couldn't get through all of it but I'm going back to take the rest.
Here's the bikes, both have springers, the spacliner is missing the tank but it has a two-speed hub.
And the flightliner's tank is completely rusted and need new rims. But I've seen worse...
Here is a box of three speed hubs there are some of your typical 333's but there are also Sturmey and other English hubs.
Here's my favorite out of the box, I think it is a 1958 3-speed coaster. Are these valuable?
There was also a 1954 Sturmey Archer freewheeling 3-speed hub I'm planing to use on an old Schwinn.
This was in the box too. A Schwinn Approved BMX chain still in the packaging. Which I thought was cool.
There is one more box. And its full of prewar coaster hub parts. Some is NOS. Others look like they came off a bike the new one was put on.
There are some blackout hubs...
Skiptooth rear sprockets
And parts still in boxes
But my favorites are the brake levers
And the Elgin air-cooled hub with a price tag of $3.20
Then yesterday I found this cruiser on CL. He wanted $150 but took $100 for it. Its not that great of a deal but I always wanted one.
Here are some bad pics. I waited too long to take them.
I love the seats on these bikes.
The plans for this one is too convert it to an electric bike using a cheap Ebay kit then adding some fenders and truss rods to make it like a futuristic Whizzer.
