thought i would post a pic of my latest purchase. schwinn spitfire with great patina. took off the fenders and guard. rides nice, need to try and get the seat post down more, she's a little froze up. :wink:

Yeah, I love this bike, got a set of those truss rods going a build now, Columbia I think..

already thought of the old hacksaw tankenstein! except i'm all about the sawzall. :wink: yes, i do beleive the truss rods are from a columbia. i was putting the fork back on the other night and spotted the truss rods under the work bench and on they went. the rust matched perfect! :lol: the bike didn't have a headbadge, so i had a brass lasalle headbadge and stuck it on. i think i will actually clear coat the bike as is.
thats a sweet bike you scored! :mrgreen: kinda looks like it has been buried underground for 40 years! :lol: im sure you will do it justice.
