Oddly enough, I was just thinking about this earlier today. I have a couple long spring saddles to restore and need to figure out how to stretch the springs for painting.

Yeah, when I saw this it was definitely a face-palm moment.

Gets a bit more difficult with some of them that have no hooks on the ends, but it does seem like a great method!
