I got these bars off a old redline squareback, 24x8 real CB's I think.. Did they make stainless ones? everything else was horribly rusted..

i don't know what your bars are made from, but I got some bull moose bars that had remnants of silver paint on them - strange finish like stainless or matte finish chrome. Maybe the chrome in the cro-mo inhibits rust?
I suppose you could do a magnet and a spark test in a non-visible place...

They look pretty legit. I believe some versions were nickel-plated. There are a few very helpful Cook FB groups you could post to in addition to BMXmuseam. Good luck!

If a magnet sticks, it doesn't mean it isn't stainless steel...but if it doesn't, it's pretty much stainless (or titanium, aluminum, etc...but you'd feel the difference in weight).

The pitting looks like somebody may have sandblasted off flakey chrome or nickel at some point. I think SS bars would be a little thicker walked.
