Hi, after long time i decided to post here some bikes I built during last years.
My last bike, this white one, started from the idea to build a student bicycle for college during weekend, and now, after month of work(only during weekends) its finally done. ( And crashed and scraped yet :-/ )
Idea was cheap and reliable bike for all weather, so fenders were obligation. I tried to use only parts that cannot be used in bike restorations so i called them junk. For example rear fender is welded from 5 parts because my father cut my storage parts some years ago in idea he would throw it into junk, i felt sick of it. But finally its welded back again!
Another think i created was a seat, i wanted bicycle all in one color so why don't made a seat out of steel too? I hammered it over two days into right shape and my mom was just crazy about the noise i made :-D . Finished seat was looking better in steel and rust but i had to paint it. Roads are to salty during winter here :-/ .
I must say that seat is quite comfortable and i dost feel any pain during ride.
Paint, did not came out as well as i expected, it had to be concrete gray but they mixed me white in shop..but, its not so big problem, girls are just crazy when I ride around
hope that pictures will work, if not, gallery is here http://peterson18.rajce.idnes.cz/Stadio ... udent_bike
testing track, it is not so smooth as it seems
hammered and welded
fender before
making seat
bicycle when i founded it. White one is 4th rebuild :-D
Final information, bike producer is Stadion Rakovník, Czech republic in 1955
