Starbird-Devlin Rod and Custom Charities Car Show

In addition to all the great hot rods, custom cars and trucks, a bicycle show and model car show are included. This is indeed a fun family event and benefits several local charities.

Hey MazdaFlyer, judjing from the entry form, it looks like bikes would have to be there throughout the complete show. Is there any option for just being there and displaying bikes on one day (Saturday). I couldn't get off work on Friday and being 5 hours away, Sunday is out of the question.

It's a three day event. You move in bikes Thursday after 6:00 pm and out on Sunday around 4:00 pm. By all means come on Saturday and check out the show. You just won't be able to enter and show bikes that day. Lots of people and high dollar vehicles to navigate through during show hours.

That's what I figured, most big indoor shows have to run that way. I'm not sure if it is worth the 4 1/2 hour drive each way for me, but I will look for you if I do make it.

Big Ape: There is an entrant from Missouri with a Hawthorne Flyer, a couple of Schwinn Phantoms and a Schwinn muscle bike. Nice bikes!

Four bikes from Cassville, MO are at the show. Maybe you've seen them before. One is a 1920 Hawthorne Flyer.

This was the Skip Tooth and Best of Show winner, 1920 Hawthorne Flyer by T. Elliott. Not sure if he is a forum member.

Seemed like participation was down this year. We have a bunch of Coasters bikes and bikes in this forum that ought to be entered. It does take some effort and little cash, but hey I'm 70 and I survived. When I get back to my laptop I'll get some posted.

I have a lot going on right now. Trying to get my house ready to sell & numerous other things that are pressing right now. Besides they kind of ticked me off the year before last in the way things were run. That may explain why bicycle attendance was down this year. Last year I attended, but didn't enter anything.
